Born in Toronto, Canada in 1965, Wendy grew up in Montreal, New York City, Boston and Los Angeles. She has lived in San Francisco for 25 years.
Wendy’s first artistic influences were her mom, with an eye for design, and her father, a professional violinist and visual artist. Her dad brought her to art museums where Wendy was first inspired by the work of Francis Bacon, Rene Magritte, Jackson Pollack and Willem de Kooning.
Wendy lives and paints in a large Victorian off Fillmore Street, a house that has been home to many artists including musicians, painters, filmmakers and dancers.
